OK. So the whole "work-out" blog had a miserable beginning. But, I'm back and I've made sure that I've been good about working out before I embarrass myself again. Well, May's here and I definitely can not run a 10 k. Hehe. But there is a 5k in June I want to do. I saw an advertisement at the mall for it. Then I'll do the 5k for the 4th of July parade in Provo. Yeah and then work for a 10k this August. My friend Erin Mecklenburg mentioned it on her blog. Cool, eh? I'll just have to find out what run it is and sign up.
I've been going to the gym this past week. For the sad news, during those few month hiatus from the blogging world, I gained about 7 pounds. Yuck. But last week I lost 3.5.lbs. Yeah. I'm working for a goal of 165 by Friday. I think I can do it. 1.5 lbs. to go. Especially with the class that I've been going to at the gym. It's called Power Pump and it can totally kick your trash. I'm serious. I am the most out of shape person in that room, but you know what. I'm there and I'm trying it. Yeah me. It's a class where they combine weightlifting to cardio and awesome music. I've decided that the lady's who teach the class are hip-Nazi's. Pretty much every exercise we do involves out hips and let me tell you, I'm one sore chica. Hehe. But my hips aren't the only thing that's sore. My left arm is just a bit weaker than my right. It makes sense because I always pick Alex up with my left arm. Well, after a few of those Power Pump classes last week I could not straighten my left arm for 3 days. No joke. It hurt... but felt so good. Yeah me!
And as far as eating goes, I'm doing ok. I kept trying different things. Accai berries and the South beach diet. I'm not saying these things don't work, I'm just saying they don't work for me. So, I've taken a new approach. Watch my portion size and only eat when I'm hungry. I'm just a person who loves food. always have and always will. I would eat anything during high school. I could out eat most guys I knew and I never had to worry about it. Gotta love metabolism. But there is something about having a baby that makes my body say, "Wait! Let's save as much of this food as possible! It'll be great!" No body, let's only save what we need.
Well, until next time. Which will be tomorrow because I'm going to try and go to a kickboxing class at 6:00 am. Fun, eh? I'm really interested on what the class is like.
Wait, before I go. I got new tennis shoes for the gym. I love new shoes. I was going with my old pair that I use to work on the yard with and stuff and it was embarrassing. Every one's shoes were so new and white and my were falling apart, old-white, and partly stained green from grass. So, my husband, being the adorable man that he is bought me a new pair. They were great. Super comfortable and cute. Thanks babe!

P.S. Kinda embarrassing but I actually gained 10 pounds, not 7. I read back on the past blog. Woops. Just thought I should be hones.
I am happy you are doing this blog again. I too have been going to the gym this past week. I also have started to eat strictly organic foods. It's really not as hard as people think. I actually can eat more food than I could before because it's working WITH my body, not against it. We should meet at the gym to keep each other motivated!
